Week 12

Week twelve was on Monday, 9 April 2012, from 8.30 to 11.30 AM. At this week, we had another exercise that would carry 5 % of mark. Seriously, it was very difficult. Especially, it was because I did not study yet. The exercise was about database. There were 30 questions given. Fifteen of them were multiple choices and the rests were filling in the blank.

Any way, we were still busy with our website, MYNESIA. Wish us all the best for our website and our exercise, guys! ^^

Week 11

Week eleven was on Monday, 2 April 2012, from 8.30 to 11.30 AM. At this time, we had an exercise for Microsoft Access. It carried 5% of mark. It was difficult for me because I never used Ms. Access. Microsoft Access was about database. There, we were asked to make a database about a product name and customer’s name.

Any way, we did not finish our website yet. However, our website name was MYNESIA. Wish that we could finish our website on time, guys! ^^

 Week 10

Week ten was on Monday, 26 March 2012, from 8.30 to 11.30 AM. I came late to class. I was using internet for a while, then I forgot my class. Luckily, the class moved to library. So, I was not considered as late. I met Mr. Azamuddin and Miss Siti Nurkhairunnisa in front of the class. They told me that the class was moved to library in level 3.

In this class, we were given the next assignment. It was making a website using Google Sites. After that, we got lecture about WWW and internet. Besides that, we were asked to explore about Google Site.

From here, I know that we could make free website, but I still did not understand very well about Google Site. Hope that I could understand Google Site very well. ^^

Week 9

Week nine was on Monday, 19 March 2012, from 8.30 to 10.00 AM. The air conditioner was not still working. Then, we studied in library again. At this time, Mr. Azamuddin gave lecturer by group of 3 to 4 students. He explained about IS Methodologies and about internet. Afterwards, he also informed us that we needed to make a website for our group project. I thought, it was not an easy thing to make a website.  I tried to open google site to make website.

From this class, I gained notion about IS Methodologies as well as internet. I was still interested in making the website. Would it be the same like making a blog?

Week 8

Week seven was on Monday, 12 March, from 8.30 to 10.00 AM. We studied about IS Methodologies. We went to library to write about IS Methodologies. We did it in library because our class was very hot. The air conditioner was not working. Next, we needed to make a group of three to five students. Then, we write summary about IT Methodologies. I had my own group. They were Shakirah, Sabariah, Laziz, Niniey and me.

From this class, I got many new understanding about IS Methodologies because our group wrote the characteristics of IS Methodologies and brainstorm about IS Methodologies.

Week 7

Week seven was on Monday, 5 March, from 8.30 to 10.00 AM. It was exactly on my birthday. Then, ICT was also one of my favourite subjects. So, it was nice to study ICT even though it was 3 hour class. I loved it.

In this class, we did some reviews for the next test. The next test was tomorrow, Tuesday, 6 March 2012. We studied the lesson from week one until week 5. After that, we continued with our team project about report. I and my group mates already discussed about our report. I thought, my group was ready for this report.

Week 6

Week five was on Monday, 20 February 2012, from 8.30 to 10.00 AM. That day, I did not come early like previously because I already checked the schedule.

In this class, we continued our study. We learnt about Information System. It was new for me. I only heard about IS when I was at High School. At that time, my friends said that they wanted to choose IS at university. I thought IS was quite difficult because I did not have any idea about it.

From this class, I knew several types of Information System. After the class, we were allowed to continue our Team Project. For my group, we did not finish yet. The submission week for this Group Project was at week 7. Wish us luck for this project, guys!!

Week 5

Week five was on Monday 13 February 2012, from 8.30 to 10.00 AM. It was a three hour class. We skipped week 4 because we had a holiday on that day. It was very hot in the class because there was no air condition. I came to class at 8.00. I was the first student who came to class. I did not read the schedule very well. I thought that it started at 08.00 in the morning. In fact, it started at 08.30 AM. So, I waited there while reading English for my preparation. After ICT, we had English test.

In the beginning of the class, we had presentation about how IT Architecture and IT Infrastructure were interrelated. I and my group mates also presented. In my opinion, our presentation was not so well because we did not prepare the slide very well. However, I felt very great because I presented it without reading the slides. In my opinion, presentation should not be reading the slides. Instead of it, we needed to understand the material, and then we could talk a lot. After that, we discussed about our next assignment, report about IT Architecture and IT Infrastructure.

From this class, I knew the definition of IT Architecture and IT Infrastructure. Then, I also needed to prepare more if I had other presentations.

Week three was on Monday, 30 January 2012, at 08.30 - 11.30 in the morning. It was a three hour class. This was our first class because last two weeks were holiday, so we did not study ICT yet. I was still with my previous group, group 2. We studied about data and information. On that day, we were required to fill in the personal details about our friend. The personal details were about whether we had accounts on some websites, such as: yahoo, facebook, myspace, etc. Then, we introduced our friend based on the details.

From this class, I learnt that there were many social websites which I did not know yet. And then, I learn how to differentiate between data and information.

Week 10

Session 1

Session 1 was at the second week of December. It was on Tuesday, 6^th December 2011. We learnt about internet. Our lecturer showed some videos about internet history. It was quite long. At this time, we also got our second project. It was making video about internet. We were asked to create video related to internet tools. At the end, our lecturer asked one question about internet term. If we could answer the questions, we were allowed to go back hostel.

I thought it was not easy to create such video because I did not use to create video. It might be a good opportunity to learn how to create a good video. Wish me luck, guys!

Session 2

Session 2 was on Thursday, 8^th December 2011. It was a fast class. Mr. Azamuddin explained again about our project. At the end, we should make a group, and then we should answer the questions. Otherwise, we could not go back to hostel.

From this class, second project was a big challenge for me because we only had little time to finish our project. Besides that, this project was an individual project!

Week 9

Session 1

It was on Tuesday, 29th November 2011. At this moment, we did not have session 2 because we had a conference about UNESCO in the morning until afternoon. We studied about Microsoft Power Point 2010. We were asked to create a slideshow by using some features in Ms. Power Point. I my self created slides about Chelsea FC. I added video related to Chelsea, pictures about Chelsea FC, and some information about Chelsea FC.

It was nice to learn Power Point because previously I only knew a little thing about it. However, after this, I increased my knowledge about slide in PowerPoint.

Week 8

Session 1

It was on 22^nd November 2011. Like usual, we studies for an hour class. It was from 14.00 to 15.00 at noon. We studied about Microsoft Excel 2011. However, it was about how to create a data using some formula in Ms. Excel 2011. We were asked to create a table. Then, show the result using the formula given.

It was just a simple formula. So far, I could follow the instructions given. Because I thought the formula was not complicated.

Session 2

It was at the last class of the week for me, because after this class, I would not have class until Monday. It was on Thursday, 24^th November 2011. We were still learning about Microsoft Excel 2011. We learnt how to use LOOKUP formula in Microsoft Excel. Then, we also should perform a table using pivot table.

It was nice to learn something new. For me, pivot table was something new. When I was at high school, we learnt about LOOKUP formula. However, we did not learn about pivot table.
